We are digital nomads later in life with a love for travel and food, culture and art, and the goal to keep moving.

We’ve had a digital nomad lifestyle for a while. Once our nest was empty, having jobs online allowed us to be more mobile, though we stayed in the U.S. It was important to stay near our child as they transitioned to adulthood and we had a wonderful dog that needed to always be with us.

Driving from Texas to locations mostly in the eastern U.S. allowed us to visit family and friends, explore the country with longer stays, and create a nice summer place in the northeast. Now that our child is fully launched and we had to say goodbye to our dear, dear Mia, we realized a European trip we’d been dreaming of was possible.

In order to keep family and friends up to date on our experiences, this blog was born. We envision it as something that will last beyond the first four month trip abroad. While some have expressed their excitement for us to have this trip of a lifetime, we feel this is just the first of many forays to distant places.
